记忆哲学能够为人工智能(AI)的发展提供很好的理论根据,并可能成为智能时代哲学出场的有效方式。它主要表现为五个方面:从反思争论看,记忆观念能够澄清"强弱"AI争论的实质;从发展基础看,记忆分类为AI发展提供了必要的理论基础;从发展方向看,记忆模式决定了AI发展方向,即如何形成通用智能;从发展危机看,灾难性遗忘是制约通用AI形成的一个根本性障碍;智能体能否作为回忆主体存在将会是人工智能发展面临的极大问题,而回忆与记忆关系的澄清将明晰这一问题的关键。本文试图从记忆哲学角度阐述哲学对于人工智能发展提供的洞见:记忆哲学提供了一种思考AI的视野。

Philosophy of memory can give a proper foundation for AI and will become the efficient approach to be present in the age of AI. This can be expressed through five aspects. For the controversy of AI, notion of memory can clarify the essence of controversy between strong AI and weak AI; for the foundation of AI, classification of memory can supply the necessary foundation of theory;for orientation of AI, model of memory can determine the orientation of AI;for crisis of AI, catastrophic forgetting will be a crucial obstacle of general artificial intelligence.Whether artificial agent become the recollecting agent will become the most biggest problem in the development of AI, and it will be a key to clarify the relation between recollection and memory.
