摘要
本文基于预期力不足假说,结合二语者预期能力以及英语本族语者显示出的统计优选效应,对中国英语学习者的统计优选(统计替代)现状进行了探索。研究采用可接受度判断任务,以英语专业研究生(硕士组)、英语专业二三年级本科生(本科组)及高二学生(高中组)为实验对象,分析他们对不同句子可接受度的判断结果。研究发现:高中组及本科组学习者存在预期力不足现象,进而影响了统计优选的发生;而硕士组学习者预期力较强,能够利用统计优选过程,整体表现与英语本族语者相似。研究结果在一定条件下支持了预期力不足假说,并推断出统计优选存在通过教学干预进行改善的可能。
Based on Reduced Ability of Generating Expectations (RAGE)Hypothesis,this study explores the current situation of Chinese English learners'statistical preemption process by comparing their ability of generating expectations and the statistical preemption effect shown in native English speakers.The research task is acceptability judgement and the subjects include graduate students, undergraduate students,and senior high school students.The results show that high school students and undergraduate students have a reduced ability of generating expectations which influences statistical preemption process,while graduate students are similar to native speakers.Findings support RAGE Hypothesis on some conditions and imply that statistical preemption can probably be improved by instruction intervention.
