基于语料库汉英交替传译中专业译员的语块特征研究

A Corpus-Based Research on Lexical Chunks Used by Professional Interpreters in Chinese-English Consecutive Interpreting

口译领域的语块研究一直局限于学生口译,缺乏针对专业译员的语块特征研究。本文基于自建的专业译员交替传译语料库,参照Altenberg于1998年提出的框架体系,对专业译员汉英交替传译中语块使用的总体特征、结构类别及语用功能进行描述性研究。研究发现:(1)专业译员在汉英交替传译中大量地使用语块,但语块缺乏多样性;(2)口译语块的使用及其结构分类的频率与口译所处的语境有较强的相关性;(3)大多数口译语块在分句层面虽然缺乏结构完整性,但富有短语学特征。

The research on lexical chunks in the field of interpreting studies has been restricted to students’ interpreting and the detailed description of the features of lexical chunks used by professional interpreters is very rare.Following Altenberg’s instruction in 1998,this article constructed a professional consecutive interpreting corpus( named CECIPC) and provided a descriptive research on the patterns,features and functions of lexical chunks used by professional interpreters. The major findings are: 1) Professional interpreters used large amounts of lexical chunks which lacked variety; 2) Many categories of lexical chunks and their frequency were found context-dependent; 3) Most lexical chunks found in CECIPC were short of structural completeness at the level of clauses, but they were of much phraseological interest.
