转型,是高等院校发展的基本方式,意在指陈高等院校因时而变,作出富有变革意义的转变,且将变革成果固化为新的组织结构、办学形态。综观全国新建地方本科院校,应用型转型是其现实选择,且主要形成了三种应用型转型方式:通过院校合并而转型发展、借助升格而转型发展、升本之后通过二次转型而持续发展。新建地方本科院校的应用型转型,须以办学转型为前提,以人才培养改革为核心,以师资队伍转型为保障,以组织结构转型为支撑。
