在历史唯物主义视域下,"中华民族精神"不是一个抽象概念,而是一个实践性与时代性的具体概念。发展中华民族精神、实现中华民族伟大复兴不仅需要立足于当代中国现实实践,而且还更需要放眼于世界文明发展的未来,保持中华民族精神的独立性。在当代中国,中华民族精神的独立性就是中华民族精神存在的独特性及发展的自主性,保持中华民族精神的独立性就是坚守整个中华民族存在与发展的精神自我,要保持中华民族精神的独立性必须立足于中华优秀传统文化,坚定文化自信,增强文化自觉,实现文化自立,充分发挥中华文化的支撑作用。

In the view of historical materialism,"Chinese national spirit"is not an,abstract concept,but a concrete concept of practice and times.The development of the Chinese national spirit and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation need to be based on the reality not only in contemporary China,but also in the future of the development of world civilization.The independence of the Chinese national spirit should be maintained.In contemporary China,the independence of Chinese national spirit means the uniqueness and autonomy of developing Chinese national spirit. To keep the independence of Chinese national spirit means to keep the spirit-self of the entire Chinese nation's existence and development.To keep the independence of Chinese national spirit must be-based on Chinese traditional culture,strengthen cultural self-confidence,enhance cultural awareness and realize cultural independence with the full supporting brought into play by Chinese culture.
