Research on the Origin of the Word “Diance” in Ancient China

“典册”一词是我国古代典型的综合性文档名词之一,由“典”和“册”两个词素构成,构词方式为联合式。它产生于较早的先秦时期,在各朝代持续应用并呈现出不同的特点。具有多个文档义项,该词在古代官府使用较多,而民间很少使用,被应用于宗庙祭祀祖先、求年祈福与战争等方方面面。

The word“Diance”is one of the typical comprehensive nouns in ancient China,consisting of two morphemes of“dian”and“ce”,the way of word formation is combined.It came into being in the earlier Qin Dynasty,and applied in different dynasties and showed different characteristics.With more than one document meaning,the word was used more frequently in ancient government offices,but rarely used by folk,it was applied to the ancestral temple to sacrifice ancestors,pray for good fortune and war.
