Design on MGCF in Interworking between IMS and PSTN Domain

探讨了IMS在3GPP网络中的应用,根据IMS与PSTN域互通的实际需求分析了媒体网关控制功能(MGCF)的功能需求。MGCF负责进行ISDN用户部分或承载无关呼叫控制与SIP协议之间的协议转换,并且将会话转发给IMS域。在此基础上,分析了从IMS网络到PSTN网络的典型呼叫会话流程,提出了一种SIP与ISUP信令互通的结构和消息映射机制,实现了IMS与PSTN域互通中MGCF的设计。

The application of IMS in 3GPP network is discussed.According to the actual requirements ofinterworking between IMS and PSTN domain,the functional requirements of media gateway control function (MGCF)are analyzed.MGCF is responsible for protocol conversion between the ISDN User Part or Bearer Independent Call Control and the SIP protocol,and forwards the session to the IMS domain.On this basis,the typical call session flow from the IMS network to the PSTN network is analyzed.A SIP-ISUP signaling interworking structure and a message mapping mechanism are proposed.The design of MGCF in interworking between IMS and PSTN domain is realized.
