Belief, Groups and Daily Life: On the Activities of Folk Faith Organization in Northeast China Since Qing Dynasty

清代以来东北民间信仰组织由沉寂到活跃。从参与东北民间信仰组织的群体看,会首群体起到相当重要的作用,工商业者以及崇信儒家思想的士绅、官员等也发挥各自的作用。综合来看,民间信仰组织在修庙、管理庙产、举办祭祀神灵仪式、筹办庙会活动、组织娱神活动、处理组织内部公共事务、处理与官方的关系等方面表现出色,体现了高度的自治性质。清代东北民间信仰组织在整合力量、调节心理、促进凝聚和谐等方面都起到和产生相当一部分社会功能和影响。

Since Qing Dynasty,the folk faith organizations in Northeast China had been more active than before.From the groups in the Northeast folk belief organizations,leaders had played a very important role,so had the workers and businessmen,as well as the gentry and officials of the Confucianism.In short,the organizations of folk beliefs had an outstanding performance in temple maintenance,property management,sacrifice ceremonies,festival temple fair,entertainment activities for gods,internal public affairs and official relationship,etc.,displaying a high degree of autonomy.The Northeast folk belief organizations in Qing Dynasty had played a part of the social function and influence in the integration of power,the adjustment of psychology and the promotion of cohesion and harmony.
