中国传统工艺的现代价值与学科建设――《中国传统工艺全集》编撰述要

Modern Value and Discipline Construction of Chinese Traditional Crafts and Arts——Editorial Marks on Complete Collection on Traditional Chinese Crafts and Arts

传统工艺具有十分重要的民生价值、学术价值和现代价值,是中国现代化建设题中应有之义,不可或缺之举。因此,传统工艺的学科建设成为当前亟待研究与开展的工作。为此,中国科学院于1996年启动了编撰《中国传统工艺全集》这一重大研究项目,经20年的努力,于2017年刊行了第一、二辑的20卷。作为成系列的文献性学术专著,它的出版产生了广泛的社会影响,学术界予以很高评价,认为是国家科学文化事业的基础性建设。但其不足之处在于名全而实不全,于技艺与经济、人文的关系及互动失之过简。因此,有必要修订和扩编。目前,在中国科学院与文化和旅游部的关怀与支持下,《全集》的修订、补编和续编工作正在紧张有序地展开。

Traditional crafts are of important livelihood value, academic value, and modern value, and they are indispensable for Chinese modernization construction, thus they should be included in the paradigm of Chinese modernization construction. Therefore, discipline construction of traditional crafts and arts is urgent issue to be researched and developed. For this purpose, Chinese Academy of Sciences started to composite and edit Complete Collection on Traditional Chinese Crafts and Arts in 1996. After 20 years effort, Part I and Part II of 20 volumes was published in 2017. As a series of literature academic monograph, this publication achieved widely social impact, they are highly credited as the infrastructure construction of the national science and culture undertaking. Nevertheless, the shortage of the publication is with a big name but less of solid content, and comparing with the techniques and crafts, social humanity perspective is rather simpler. So the revision and expansion are needed. Now, sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the revision, additional editing, and continued composition of Complete Collection on Traditional Chinese Crafts and Arts are undergoing on schedule.
