Ethnic minority policies for China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region continue supporting rapid development of ethnic settlements-with smaller population and assisting people in financial difficulties.In particular,three relatively sparsely populated ethnic groups here have seen tremendous success in poverty alleviation and a better lifestyle.The Gin ethnic group's average annual net income now exceeds RMB 12,000.Over 70,000in the Mulao ethnic group settlements have escaped poverty in the past five years.In Maonan people's settlements,the poverty headcount ratio has decreased bv about 60%.
