一种新型可见光-RFID技术以及采用片上天线实现的可见光-RFID标签(英文) 被引量:1

A New Kind of Visible Light-RFID Technology and Verified by an Optical-RFID Tag with On-chip Antenna

摘要 提出了1种新型射频识别(RFID)技术,其下行通信方式采用可见光通信(VLC),上行通信方式采用射频反向散射调制的方式实现.这种技术可以称为可见光通信-射频识别技术.为了验证技术的可行性,研究设计了1款采用片上天线实现的可见光-射频识别标签(ORID),并利用TSMC 0.18μm CMOS工艺实现.其中标签射频部分工作在915 MHz,标签中片上天线的面积为0.64 mm2.测试结果显示,当射频振荡器的输出功率为20dBm时,标签的工作距离可以达到6 mm. A new RFID technology, using visible light communication (VLC) as downlink communication and RFID backscatter modulation as uplink communication, has been presented. This technology can be referred to as visible light communication-radio frequency identification technology. In order to verify the feasibility of this technology, an Optical-Radio Frequency Identification (ORID) tag with on chip antenna (OCA) has been designed and fabricated in TSMC 0.18 μm CMOS process, wherein the RF part operates at 915 MHz, and the area of the on-chip antenna is 0.64 mm^2. Test results show that when the output power of the RF oscillator is 20 dBm, the working distance of the tag can achieve 6 mm.
