胡适重建“社会重心”说及其异化

Hu Shih's Argument on Reestablishing "Social Focus" And Its Alienation

1932年,胡适于九一八事变一周年之际发表《惨痛的回忆与反省》一文,提出重建"社会重心"这一富有历史纵深感的重要命题。但他随后陷入"民主与专制"的论争,偏离了最初提出的命题。胡适的重建"社会重心"说很快变调,终至异化成主张只能维护以国民党政权为社会中心的肤浅说教。这种异化,既与其自由主义者的政治诉求有关,也是政局变动的结果。

On the occasion of the anniversary of September 18 Incident,Hu Shih published an article of Bitter Memories and Reflection.It put forward an important historic proposition that the urgent question was to reestablish "social focus"to save the country.But it's regretful that Hu Shih gave himself up to the controversy of "democracy and autocracy"later,and he deviated from his own original proposition unconsciously.His argument on "social focus"not only altered but also alienated to be a shallow preachment which only maintained Kuomintang government as social focus.This alienation was not only related with Hu Shih's political demands as liberals,but also an outcome of political changes that time.
