标指是皮尔士最基本的符号三分的第二类符号。这类符号首先有其名称和定义的演变过程。逻辑学中地位的确立,才使得这种符号有了明确的意义与独特作用。同时使得皮尔士的经院实在论哲学与黑格尔的客观唯心论区别开来。

Index is the second category of Peirce’s most basic trichotomy of signs. This kind of signs first has the development of its name and definition. The establishment of the status in logic makes it have a clear meaning and specific role. At the same time,it distinguishes Peirce’s scholastic realism from Hegel’s objective idealism.
