现实与虚幻交织的全球圆形流散--论莫迪亚诺《青春咖啡馆》的主题

Global Circular Diaspora in Reality and Illusion: A Thematic Study of In the Café of Lost Youth by Patrick Modiano

2014年诺贝尔文学奖得主帕特里克·莫迪亚诺的《青春咖啡馆》立足于20世纪50年代初的法国巴黎,以孔岱咖啡馆为圆心,勾画出以露姬为代表的一群经常出入于此的流浪者从不断探寻人生真谛到最终放弃追求、终结生命的圆形悲剧历程。笔者在国内首次提出这种历程是混淆现实与虚幻、跨越时间和空间的全球性圆形流散。通过对现实与虚幻的交织、半醉半醒的状态、神秘的圆形的分析,文章发现:尽管露姬和小说中的人物一生都在不停地探寻和挣扎,到头来他们得到的只有孤独、迷惘和漫无目的的漂泊。他们时刻处于现实与虚幻交织的全球圆形流散中,这也是"二战"后不久西方的普遍精神状态。

Set in Paris in the early 1950 s, Patrick Modiano’s In the Café of Lost Youth centers on Kongdai Café to portray the tragic fate of a group of wanderers, represented by Luji, whose cycle of life starts with a search for truth but ends with loneliness, confusion, aimless wandering and eventually death. This experience of global circular di-aspora mixes reality with illusion and transcends both time and space. By probing into the half-drunk, half-illusive mixture and its mysterious cycle, this article argues that the global circular diaspora also characterizes the spiritual state of people surviving the WWII.
