The Meaning and Significance of Legal Science of the Principal Contradiction in Society in New Era

中共十九大报告提出,新时代中国"社会主要矛盾已经转化为人民日益增长的美好生活需要和不平衡不充分的发展之间的矛盾",这一表述包含着非常丰富的内涵。从法学角度来观察,新时代中国主要矛盾实质上就是,人民对于"法治"的日益增长的需要和"法治"的"不平衡不充分的发展"不能满足人民的这种需要之间的矛盾。解决新时代中国社会主要矛盾的基本方式也就是坚定地推进实施法治。

The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out,as socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the principal contradiction facing Chinese society has evolved. What we now face is the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people’s ever-growing needs for a better life. This judgement comprises very rich contents. From the view of legal science,the essence of the principal contradiction in new era is the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development in rule of law and the people’s ever-growing needs for rule of law in China. The basic means of resolving the principal contradiction in new era is implementing and carrying forward rule of law unhesitatingly in China.
