A Contrastive Study of English and Russian Vocabulary

英语作为目前世界上最流通的语言,很大程度上影响着多种语言的应用。俄语与英语同属于印欧语系,他们之间存在着密切的联系。从转译规则和应用领域两个方面探讨总结英语和俄语之间的相似性,引入仿译和借用两个概念,加以总结的字母转译、读音转译和音节转译规则,帮助外语学习人士更好地领会俄语和英语之间的关联,触类旁通,对这两门语言有新的理解。

English,as the most popular language in the world,made a significant impact on various languages. Russian and English both belong to the Indo-European language family,which are intimately connected. This article will analyze and illustrate the similarities of vocabulary within the Russian and English language,using concepts of loan translation and borrowing,and summarize some common rules of inter-translation,in order to help foreign language learners to better understand the relationship between Russian and English and to have a new understanding of the two languages by analogy.
