The development of silicon steel was explained.The characteristics of gain-oriented silicon steel,The major application of grain-oriented silicon steel in transmission facilities,particularly in the highpower transformer were introduced.Given the research experience on the cold-rolled band and the prospect of silicon steel in the future,methods for improving composition and processing technology were provided, and exploit a new grain-oriented silicon steel and apply to large power transformer.
