Analysis of Financial Reform in Taiwan from 1980 to 2016: Summary and Reference

20世纪80年代,台湾开始了金融自由化改革。改革实施以来,台湾在推动金融自由化、完善金融体系等方面取得了一定成绩,但也存在金融机构数目过多、金融创新不足、国际竞争力有待提升等问题。近年来,大陆积极推动金融自由化改革。借鉴台湾经验教训,大陆应遵循合理的金融自由化次序,审慎推动金融改革;循序开放金融机构设立,不断完善相关配套措施;有效整合中小金融机构,实现资源优势互补;强化金融监管体制改革,逐步建立起一元化监管体制。

In order to adapt to the changes of the economic development situation both inside and outside the island,Taiwan began the reform of financial liberalization in 1980 s. Although the implementation of the reform has made certain achievements in promoting the realization of financial liberalization and improving the financial system,there are still many problems,such as excessive number of financial institutions,insufficient financial innovation and lack of international competitiveness. In recent years,the mainland has actively promoted the reform of financial liberalization. Draw-ing on Taiwan’s lessons,the mainland promote financial reform should followa reasonable order,establish financial institutions in a step-by-step manner,improve supporting measures continuously,integrate small and medium-sized financial institutions effectively to complement resource advantages,strengthen the reform of financial regulatory system and realize centralized supervision gradually.
