Cluster analysis is applied widely and its application in libraries of universities should be the research focus in order to improve the management and academic standards of the libraries. This paper expounds the content of cluster analysis,the classification and the significance of its application and the measures of promoting the application of cluster analysis in libraries of universities are proposed as well.
