The sponge city reconstruction of old communities is the livelihood engineering and ecological engineering, but is also a difficulty in the construction of sponge city. By Summarizing the experience of sponge city construction in the trial area of Qingshan in Wuhan, the article puts forward five key points of the combination of problem orientation and goal orientation, the implementation of in-depth field research, the first livelihood and then upgrading, the strengthening of publicity and communication, and the strengthening of late operation and maintenance management for more attention in the sponge city reconstruction of old communities in order to provide the reference for the other cities.
