霍布斯政治哲学研究路径的论评与辨正

Comment on the Research Path of Hobbes's Political Philosophy

学界通常采用理性的与神学的两条路径展开对霍布斯政治哲学的研究。理性的路径是主流的研究进路,试图从特定的某个理性概念入手对霍布斯的政治哲学进行整体性的解读,而神学的路径则试图把霍布斯的政治哲学铺陈在神学框架之下,认为霍布斯政治思想中有着一套相对完整的神学政治方案。这两种看似截然对立的路径却彰显着如此的结论:霍布斯虽然设计了理性政治的方案,但他同时还存留着相当多的神学政治的内容。鉴于霍布斯的政治哲学有着更为复杂的论证结构,故应兼采这两种研究路径以实现对霍布斯的整全式解读。

The study of Hobbes’ s political philosophy is usually carried out by rational and theological approaches.The path of rationality is the mainstream research approach,trying to start with a specific rational concept to interpret Hobbes’ s political philosophy as a whole,while the path of theology tries to spread Hobbes’ s political philosophy under the theological framework,believing that there is a relatively complete set of theological political program in Hobbes’ s political thought. The two seemingly diametrically opposed paths lead to the conclusion that although Hobbes devised the scheme of rational politics,he also retained a considerable amount of theological content. In view of the more complex argumentation structure of Hobbes’ s political philosophy,both research approaches should be adopted to realize the integral interpretation of Hobbes.
