The Translation and Application of Japanese Works in “Debate on Socialism” in the Early 1920s

在20世纪20年代初期的"社会主义论战"中,处于不同立场的论战参与者都曾通过译介来自日本的社会主义论著,以攻击、反驳论敌,并巩固自身的立场。李达、施存统等人将河上肇、山川均等日本社会主义研究者的文章译载于《觉悟》《学灯》《新青年》《解放与改造》等报刊上,使社会主义论战的内容更为丰富,社会主义的探讨与争论也得到进一步的拓展。日文社会主义论著被有效地运用在此次探讨中国社会革命与建设的论战之中。

In the "Debate on Socialism" in the early 1920s, participants in different positions had translated socialism works from Japan to consolidate their positions and refuted the enemies. Li Da, Shi Cundong and others translated the articles of Japanese socialist researchers such as Kawakami Hajime, Ymakawa Hitoshi, and Murohuse Koushin on the newspapers or magazines such as Juewu, Xuedeng, Xinqingnian, Jefang Yu Gaizao, etc. The content of the "Debate on Socialism" is more abundant, and the discussion on socialism has been further deepened. Japanese socialism works is effectively used in this debate on China’s social revolution and construction.
