前景化语言翻译策略研究:以《废都》葛浩文英译本为例

Foreground language abounds in Ruined City by Jia Pingwa,which partly accounts for the realization of its"literariness"while posing a great challenge to the translator. To fully represent the aesthetic beauty of the original novel,as shown by multiple examples,the translator employs different methods in rendering the foreground language. A thorough analysis of the translation strategies adopted by Howard Goldblatt,the English translator of the novel is of great value in criticism of the translated text,and can provide tactical inspiration for Chinese literature"Going Global"strategy.
