摘要
文章考释了宋代疑难词语“扑水”,认为“扑水”同“泊水”,是宫廷、庙宇和官署建筑中正殿或厅堂周围接建的房屋,其形制就是早期的抱厦。“扑水”是“颇厦”的方言记音。随着建筑形制的发展变化,“扑水”引申指偏屋,汉语方言中表示偏屋的词语多与“扑水”“颇厦”有着渊源。
Scholars have different opinions about the meaning of the difficult word pushui (扑水)in Song dynasty notes, such as houses,indoor volumes and eaves.This paper considers that pushui (扑水)is the same as poshui(泊水),which refers to the side hall in a palace or house.The wordposha (颇厦)is the etymology ofpushui(扑水).Because of the influence of synonymous morphemes substitution and speech,many other variant words such asposha (颇厦)appeared in different dialects.
