Let Us Go to the Forbidden City

在曼谷的玉佛寺里,有一幅壁画,讲的是中国《三国演义》的故事。小时候的我,每次看着那些壁画,都想象着中国的模样,那是一个多么遥远而神奇的国度,有那么多有意思的历史故事和英雄人物。父母告诉我:北京是中国的首都,是一座有着两千多年历史的城市,承载着中华民族五千年的灿烂文明。人们常常会把曼谷的大皇宫与北京的故宫相比较,结论是:北京的故宫,比泰国的大皇宫更大、更宏伟。

In the War Phra Kaew in Bangkok, there is a wall painting of Chinesestory Romance of the Three Kingdoms When I was young,whenever I saw such wall paintings,I dreamed about the image of China,which is such a distant and mysterious country with a lot of interesting historical stories and heroic figures.My parents told me that Beijing is the capital of China,a city with more than 2,000 years of history and carrying 5,000-year splendid civilization of the Chinese nation.
