再论美国高等教育沿革的阶段特征与历史分期被引量：4

摘要《美国高等教育沿革的阶段特征与历史分期》一文已对美国高等教育史的阶段性特征和分期依据做了初步的分析,但对于其中的标志性事件,尤其是联邦政府的政策文件何以能成为划分美国高等教育不同阶段标志的原因,则没有展开充分讨论。哈佛学院和《莫里尔法》《退伍军人权利法》《布什报告》都是建立在已有传统和长期历史积淀的基础之上,并为下一个新阶段开创新的传统,美国高等教育史正是以这些标志性事件为契机进入新的历史发展时期。将联邦政府重要政策文件作为美国高等教育史分期标志并不意味着简单搬用美国史或美国政治史的分期,美国高等教育演变的三个阶段划分与美国国家的历史并不存在直接的和必然的联系。
