新闻事业是党领导的社会主义事业的重要组成部分。它是通过对事实的报道来影响社会舆论的 ,是传播舆论的主要渠道。在发展社会主义市场经济的条件下 ,新闻工作面临着复杂多变的局面 ,引导舆论的任务十分繁重。要把握正确的舆论导向 ,以正确的舆论引导人 ,要紧紧围绕经济建设这个中心 ,服从、服务于全党全国工作的大局 ,要把反映舆论与引导舆论辩证地统一起来 。

It is used to affect social public opinion through fact reports and is the main channel to spread public opinion. Under the condition of developing socialist market economy, the news work faces complex and changable circumstances. Its tasks to guide public opinion are quite heavy. It must hold correct public opinion guiding direction and must guide people with correct opinion. News public opinion work must closely round the centre of economic construction, obey and serve the whole situation of the Party and the country. News medium must dialectically unite reflecting public opinion with guiding public opinion. News work must pay still more attention to the art and result of propoganda.
