A NEW METHOD FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF TRIARYLMETHYL ARYL KETONS

本文报告了一个简便的合成三芳甲基芳基酮的新方法.此法采用二芳基酮和锌粉在乙醚中在无水三氯铝的作用下进行一步反应.优点是反应时间短,产率高,产物易分离.

A new convenient method for the synthesis of triarylmethyl aryl ketones was reported. In this method a one-pot reaction of diaryl ketone and zinc powder in ether under the influence of anhydrous aluminium chloride is employed. The advantages of this method over other methods are: the short reaction time, the high yield and the ease with which the product could be separated.
