摘要
针对视频服务的特点 ,设计可伸缩的集群视频服务器 .该集群视频服务器由一组高性能PC机通过网络连接而成 ,具有分布式并行处理能力 .集群视频服务器采用三层的逻辑结构 ,第一层是作为整个服务器信息入口的前端机 ;第二层是处理结点机群 ,负责客户端和服务器之间的视频流的建立、传输和撤消 ;第三层是存储结点机群 ,机群中的结点机以逻辑方式构成RAID5级的虚拟盘阵列 ,是整个服务器的I/O子系统 ,采用空间分带的放置策略存储视频数据 .性能分析表明这是一个低成本。
This paper discusses the design for a scalable video server through clustering of local PCs. This video server is a distributed and parallel processing system in nature. It is based on the logical organization of a cluster of PCs in a simple three layer architecture. The top level layer consists of two front end nodes, acting as a reference point in the cluster for accessing the service. The second level consists of a small subset of the cluster machines called processing nodes, which manages the establishment, transmission and withdrawal between the user′s end and the servers. The third level is the I/O subsystem, consisting of a large subset of the cluster machines and implementing an efficient disk array by using a striped data layout policy. This three layered architecture breaks through the I/O bottleneck. Performance analysis demonstrates it′s a low cost and high performance solution.
