The author introduces a system of calculating the quantity of various colored wool yarn in carpet knitting in Windows NT environment. The system possesses the function of editing carpet pattern , mixing colors , calculating the quantity of various colored wool yarn in carpet knitting and outputting artistic conception drawing etc. It has created a working environment to users, in which many people may design a same carpet pattern at the same time.It can also connect with Internet and provide browsing and querying of pattern data for remote users.
