The emerging of Ikonos 1-m image products interested most of the Chinese remote sensing data users. Indeed, Ikonos 1-m image marked the beginning of a new era of remote sensing application technology. This paper introduces some important technical parameters of Ikonos satellite from the view of image application, presents some distinguishing features of applying the remote sensing image data.
