摘要
《诗经·邶风·静女》篇中的“彤管”为何物,历来说法不一。笔者以为“彤管”为石管。第一,“彤”字的本意是红色带有光泽而有毛样纹理的石（玉）。而彤管为红色有光泽和美丽花纹的石（玉）管。第二,古代有赠玉之习俗。第三,从出土文物中有玉管和石管的实物也可证之。第四,从“彤管有炜”句看,只有红色的玉或石经过打磨而发出的光辉才可称得上“盛赤也”。
The 'tongguan' in the volume of 'beifeng jingnu' in The Book of Songs has many interpretations in history. From the traditional customs, the evidence of archaeological studies, the original meaning of its Chinese character and the source of it context, the author expounds his view towards the word.
