间接言语行为的推理依赖于语境。语境不是静态的、先前预设的 ,而是因人而异的 ,是随着听话人的信息量的增加、减少而不断变动、更新的。对《红楼梦》一则对话进行详细的语用推理表明 :由语境决定的最佳关联信息是语用推理最重要的环节 。

The reasoning of indirect speech act relies on the context. The context will never be static, but will be presupposed beforehand and vary with person, altered and refreshed unceasingly as the recipient retain information to a greater or lesser degree. By an exhaustive pragmatic reasoning on an excerpted conversation specified by the context is the most important phase in a pragmatic reasoning, and the understanding degree of the main act meaning.
