West China occupies about 71 percent of the whole land areas of the country, but the population is only 28.5% of the nation. There are plenty of biological resources, forest, grasslands, and have established 385 national protection zones,41 % of the whole numbers all over the country. But the geological tectonics are complex, geological conditions unsteady, weather environment worsen, water resources heavily shortage, land widely desertified and economic foundation weak.
