Through the elaboration of the concrete self shrinkage and its generation reasons the elements influencing concrete self shrinkage are analyzed and the controlling methods are explained. The influences of concrete and mineral admixture contain tow aspects as material activity and material fineness. At last six paths to reduce the self shrinkage for concrete are summarized.
