In this paper the method and principle of using а-naphthylamine colorimetric method to measure the nitrite nitrogen in water are introduced. The optimal absorption wavelength of coupled reaction, the influence of PH on the chromogenic reaction and the time of chromogenic reaction are determined. Stationary phase of standard stock solution and the preservative time of water sample are introduced. Author point out that the nitrite nitrogen one index object of organic pollution. The correct measurement of nitrite nitrogen has significance for the health of people.
