Searching for Large Gas Fields to More Quickly and Better Develop the Natural Gas in Sichuan—in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the starting publication of《Natural Gas In-dustry》.

寻找大型气田是四川天然气开发中一个带有关键性的问题。四川地区天气然气藏类型很多,各具特点。对于碳酸盐岩气藏来说需要寻找区域性裂缝气藏,以及孔隙(或微裂隙)发育较好的气藏,或者相当大的潜力可挖。孔隙型气藏将是一个重要的勘探方向。要加强区域巨型压裂技术的研究以解决致密气藏的开发和开采问题。在四川盆地中往往有上下气藏互相叠置的现象,研究这类多气藏气田的开发是一个很重要的问题。在四川盆地中无论在区域上还是剖面上都还有很多空白有待进一步研究。四川的天然气有着良好的远景。

Searching for large gas fields is a key problem in developing natural gas in Sichuan. The types of natural gas reser- voirs in Sichuan region are multiple and each has own characteristics. For the carbonate gas reservoirs, it is necessary to search for regional fractured gas reservoirs and the reservoirs with well-developed pores(or microfractures). Porous gas reservoirs will be the important exploration trend. It is also necessary to strengthen the study of massive fracturing tech- nique to solve the problems about the development and exploitation of tight gas reservoirs. The mutual overlap of the gas reservoirs up and down is a common phenomenon in Sichuan Basin, and to study the development mothnd of such kind of gas fields with multiple gas reservoirs is an important problem. In the Sichuan Basin, both regionally and sectionally, there are many black spaces awaiting to be further studied. The natural gas industry in Sichuan has a gond prospect.
