摘要 本文分析了中国学生在英语篇章写作中几个常见的问题:一、尽管许多学生能写出一些合乎语法的句子,但不善于使用各种不同的衔接手段来连接句子;二、不善于处理篇章的语境、信息的线性分布等问题,因而他们的篇章往往缺乏连贯性;三、倾向使用单一化的句型,篇章因此单调乏味;四、惯于使用循环性的汉语篇章构思模式,而不善于使用直线型的英语构思模式。针对这些问题,作者还提出了相应的写作教学对策。 This paper takes a close look at the four problems Chinese students often meet in their English writing. First, many are able to write grammatical sentences, yet not good at using proper cohesive devices to link sentences. Second, they can't focus on the theme and are especially weak at coping with the linearisation within the discourse, so their writing often lacks coherence. Third, some tend to use sentences of the same type, which inevitably results in monotony. Fourth, the linear way of Flnglish discourse pattern poses a great challenge for Chinese students who are inclined to use a circular way. The author points out strategies for leaching ESL writing.
