A Study of Geography of Chinese Architectural Culture

本文运用华夏建筑文化地理学研究建筑文化与社会环境和地理环境之间的关系 ,在近 10年的研究和几万公里的田野考察基础上得出如下结论 :赋予建筑文化体系特征的要素为社会环境和地理环境 ,当要素某因子与其它因子关系发生变化并起主导作用时 ,赋予建筑文化区域支系特征。

Using Geography of Chinese Architectural Culture, the authors have studied the relationship between architectural culture and soc io-geographical environment. Basing themselves on a ten-year's study and fieldwo rk covering thousands of miles, the authors have reached the following conclusio n: Socio-geographical environment is the key factor which gives a given architec tural culture a systemic trait. Some relation changes in the elements of the key factor will result in the local-color trait of the architectural culture.
