A 8031 single chip computer based portable instrument is introduced. It can be used for measuring and calibrating 16 types of thermocouples and related instruments with high accuracy. The instrument offers functions of internal self-calibration, Iinear correction, data processing, and reference junction compensation. The accuracy of the calibrator is +/-0.05%
