NOTES ON THE GENUS PHAEDON LATREILLE OF CHINA (COLEOPTERA:CHRYSOMELIDAE:CHRYSOMELINAE)

记述了叶甲亚科猿叶甲属Phaedon的中国种类 ,共包括 15种 ,其中包括 3新种 ,分别为 :高山猿叶甲P .alpinasp .nov .,八郎山猿叶甲P .balangshanensissp .nov .,无名山猿叶甲P .wum ingshanensissp .nov .。模式标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所。

The present paper deals with the Chinese species of Chrysomelinae belonging to the genus Phaedon Latreille. Altogether 15 species are recorded, of which 3 species, P.alpina sp. nov., P.balangshanensis sp. nov., P.wumingshanensis sp. nov., are described as new. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Phaedon alpina sp. nov. (Figs.9, 20) Body elongate, rather convex, apterous. Dark\|brown with metallic reddish\|purple; underside, legs, antennae, maxillary palpi black; two basal segments of antennae more or less reddish\|brown.\;Head depressed, with coarse and sparse punctures. Maxillary palpi with terminal segment 2 times as long as proceeding one. Antennae slender, extending beyond to humeri, 2 short, 3 about 1\^5 times as long as 2, 4 subequal to 2, 5 and 6 shorter than 2, spherical, 7\|11 broadened apically, as broad as long, eleventh longer than third. Pronotum straight basely, rounded outward; base margined; disc with coarse, dense punctures. Scutellum triangular, smooth and impunctate. Elytra slightly broader than pronotum at base, humeri not convex; punctures striae arranged in pairs, especially 6, 7 and 8, 9 striae; 6, 7 and 8, 9 joined together at base; 9 situated much nearer to lateral margin than 8, much sparse; interspace flat, impunctate, transversal rugosity. Epipleura broad basely, surface much narrowed behind, smooth and impunctate. Distinguished from P.aptera Wang by interspace of elytra striae smooth and impunctate, with transveral rugosity; epipleura smooth and impunctate. Etymology. From the latin, alpina, meaning high altitude. Phaedon balangshanensis sp. nov. (Figs.10, 21) Body elongate, rather convex, apterous. Metallic blue; antennae, maxillary palpi, from tibiae to claws dark\|brown; two basal segments of antennae, margin of 2 to 5 segments of abdomen reddish\|brown. \; Head depressed, with fine punctures. Maxillary palpi of terminal segment 2 times as long as preceding one. Antennae slender, extending to humeri, 2 and 3 subequal in length, 4\|6 subequal in length, shorter than 2 and 3, 7\|11 dilated, broader than long. Pronotum longer than broad, slightly rounded on each side; base margined; disc with two kinds of punctures, fine punctures mainly in center, coarse punctures mainly on sides. Scutellum triangular, with fine punctures. Basal of elytra slightly broader than pronotum, humeri not convex; elytra striae arranged in pair, punctures not deeply; 7 and 8 rows convergent together at base, 9 situated much nearer to lateral margin than eighth, very sparse; interspace slightly convex, impunctate, with transversal and longitudinal rugosity.
