An Initial Research on Sun Zhongshan's Theory of Five-power System

五权制理论是孙中山把西方政治制度和中国的传统政治制度相结合,用传统的经验和制度修改补充的产物,是兼有东西沟通的建国方略体系,具有启蒙作用和创新精神。但由于对国情缺乏深刻充分的了解,这种理论也存在偏颇和缺陷,孙中山终其一生也未能付诸完善,相反,五权制理论在他身后异化为独裁统治者实行专政的遮羞布。

SunZhongshan put forward his theory of Five-power System by combining western political system and China's traditional system. It is a state-establishing strategic system with enlightening functions and creating characteristics. Due to lack of full understanding of the situation of the country, the theory had its extreme and defect. This was the very reason why SunZhongshan himself was not able to put it into perfection and instead, after his death, the theory was made use of by the dictators to cover up their autocratic governing.
