A Novel Wavelength Tunable Mode-Locked Fiber Ring Laser

摘要 利用法布里珀罗腔的激光二极管作为调制器件 ,实现环形腔光纤激光器的主动锁模。并利用法布里珀罗腔的激光二极管的多纵模特性 ,把激光二极管当作一梳状滤波器 ,通过偏振控制器来调整入射到激光二极管内光的偏振态 ,同时均衡腔内增益 ,得到波长大范围可调谐的锁模激光 ,其脉冲宽度约为 4 8ps,脉冲重复速率 An actively mode locked erbium fiber ring laser was demonstrated using a Fabry Perot laser diode (LD) as a modulator. At the same time, F P LD is acted as a comb filler, attributed to its multi modes property. A wavelength tunable in large range mode locked pulse train was generated through adjusting a polarization controller to change the optical polarization state and control the gain in the fiber ring. The frequency pulse with pulse width of 48 ps is about 2 GHz.
