The first foodstuffs were packed into tin cans about 150 years ago and people have been working on consumer-friendly closure systems for this classic package form ever since. An addition and further development to the usual easy-to-open systems to date are lids with Alufix?peel membrane. Some of the advantages of the latest membrane material are protection of originality, hermetic closure and suitability for vacuum packs.
