Globalization has brought about an overall exchange of cultures in all nations into and drawn them closer, synthesized the economic functions of cultures and penetrated them with political power. To construct advanced socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, one must earnestly summarize the history of cultural development of the Chinese people, correctly handle the relations with foreign, traditional and modern cultures. One must advocate the opening up policy, which embraces the innovation of the cultural contents and system. One must be guided by Marxism and led by the Communist Party of China.
