With the rapid development of optical fiber communication,the maintenance work of long-distance optical fiber cable has been much more important than ever.This paper analyses some matters of the mal - function of long-distance optical fiber cable such as its causation,locating and renovating and then discusses the methods and approaches on how to improve the corrective maintenance of it.
