过去的半个世纪,是中国船舶工业辉煌发展的50年.特别是近20年来,船舶建造、修理和贸易取得的成就令世人瞩目.其中,船舶修理业在促进国民经济建设和推动国际贸易业务中,具有着极其重要的作用和地位.全世界每年平均运输商船的保有量约为6.5亿载重吨,承担着世界70%以上的货物运输量.修船业维持了现有营运船舶的正常营运.
The Chinese ship repairing industry has made a definite advance after years' development. The major enterprises have reached the world advanced level in many indexes. But due to loose and extensive management in our country, the industry is developing in a disordered state, which seriously impairs the interests of both the enterprises and the nation at large. So, China Association of the Shipbuilding Trade should take upon its shoulder the task of industrial self-discipline. By means of industrial self-discipline, China's ship repairing industry is capable of becoming a major international ship repair base.
