Compared with preceding methods, this one has the following advantages: all the main birefringence parameters of fibers are able to be measured in this system, the range of measurement is large, the result of measurement is accurate, the method is simple. Moreover, a corresponding measurement system is set up and the measurement. is made in the near infrared band.
