英汉“回环”修辞格刍议

On English And Chinese Rhetorical Device of Regression

英汉语中“回环”修辞格表现出极大的相似性 ,英语中的“回环”现象已有不同词语加以界定 ,而汉语中的这种现象统称“回文”或“回环” ,并对等地译为英语的Regression或Chiasmus。本文拟就汉语与英语相似的“回环”进行对比 ,认为汉语中“回环”还有不同的分类 ,且汉语中“回环”

The rhetorical device of Regression in English and Chinese language displays a striking resemblance. It is termed respectively Palindrome, Regression, Chiasmus and Epanodos in English while only hui wen or hui huan in Chinese. Thus the Chinese device needs a further classification. This paper attempts to make a comparison between this phenomenon both in English and in Chinese, aiming at making it noted by the Chinese rhetorical circles.
