英语写作是一种交际活动 ,行文呆板、单一 ,缺乏变换是英语写作的大忌 ,要想使交际的对方———读者感兴趣 ,写作者必须在遣词造句上努力。合理的遣词、恰当的造句和句式的多样化是正确表达思想、写出生动形象活泼的英语作文的关键。在遣词方面 ,可以变静态为动态 ,变一般为具体 ,变抽象模糊为具体精确 ,变无生为有生 ,变短暂为延续 ,变直陈为委婉 ;在句式方面 ,可以进行多种句型的交换、打破常规的表达方式或结构 ,以增强句子的表达效果。

English writing is a communicative activity. To interest the readers, the writer must do a lot in diction and construction of sentence. Proper diction and sentence writing and varieties in sentence patterns are the key points to express the ideas correctly and to write vivid and lively English compositions. In diction, writing can be from static to dynamic, from general to specific, from abstract to concrete, from non-life to living, from momentary to durative, and from direct statement to euphemism; In sentence writing, sentence patterns can be exchanged or substituted, and broken their normal structures to achieve sentence effects.
